Beat the Snow!

For those of you who knew our Christmas plans, we flew out of Atlanta to Denver on Wednesday morning. To our surprise, we arrived just before the real storm began. Our flight arrived at 7:30am and by 10am, all the flights were canceled. Because the road conditions were so bad, Melody and I took the public bus from the airport to the stop closest to my parents. Which would normally be an hour ride, took us three and a half hours. Thursday we spent most of the day inside and then by noon began to start digging everything out. The total snowfall was 27". We will be flying back on Tuesday, December 26th (Mel's Birthday). We are looking forward to spending a few days in GA with Mel's family before we drive home. We hope you all have a blessed Christmas.

Hey you two--
I was just looking at your church website--sounds like things are going great there in Kentucky! Melody, I miss seeing you around Greenbrier--and I am praying for your dad, Chad. Have a very merry Christmas--and fly safely!

It was nice talking with you guys last night and will be praying for you. Hey, I think you guys got all the snow for the country, all we got was a little rain--kind of dampens the whole white Christmas dream. Anyway, have a great time traveling. I am sure Melody will be happy to get back to Joey on her birthday--Happy Birthday Mel!
Merry Christmas to ya'll (a little southern slang for Mel's sake).
