That's right. Our delicious second-born is now 9 months old! I cannot, for the life of me, figure out where the time has gone. Something about having two dependent babies that makes time fly.
Addie has gone from a scrawny newborn to a healthy, bubbly infant. Forget what they say about second-borns being the easy ones -- you know, content, easy-going, etc. Not our Addie. If there is mischief to be had, she will find it. She especially loves to touch (and eat) everything she shouldn't.
As you can see from the picture above, nothing about this child is below the fifth percentile weight wise. Today she weighed in at a healthy 17 pounds even (pretty much average) and measured 28 inches long (a little above average). She crawls everywhere, pulls up on everything (has several bumps to show for it), and is cruising around furniture. And yes, that is Addie sitting in Juliana's baby stroller. For the most part Addie is a great sleeper -- she'll sleep 11-12 hours at night and 3 hours during the day still. She does NOT like to stay up late (8 is her limit), but she does love to wake fairly early.
Adeline truly is a cheery baby -- smiling is her favorite. Unless, of course, you tell her no or her sister takes her toy. God has given us two beautiful girls with two beautiful, yet different personalities. We are anxiously looking forward to the day when Juliana and Adeline will be best buds!
