What happened???

Yesterday I blinked. And today I find myself past Christmas already. OH. MY. FLYING. TIME. How in the world? For our single digit readership out there, I’m sure you’ve noticed the lack of any new posts. Let me just give you the skinny on some possible reasons.

Late summer – Chad and I feel God calling us away from our beloved church in Lexington and to possibly church-planting in Colorado.

September – we decide for sure to pursue this calling … announce to elders…Juliana turns TWO…we announce to church … put our house on the market…house sells in less than two weeks (yes, two weeks!).

October – learn that our third child will indeed be a BOY … take respective trips to Colorado and Georgia, only to come back and pack up our house in a week … Adeline turns ONE … we move out of our house!

We are living in a temporary housing situation (praise God for this!) out in the middle of nowhere …. Paris, KY. We have no cable and no internet (except on Chad’s phone). I can look out the breakfast nook and see cows on the hills around and sometimes the neighbor’s horses on the side of the house. These are the sounds I hear during the day: tractors, the occasional horse trailer, and sometimes the train going down the tracks. VERY different than living in Lexington!

So now here we are in January, weeks away from welcoming baby boy into our family. And even more weeks away from moving across the country. We are so behind in posting, but we will try to catch up.
