No Excuses - Mark 2:13-14

I find in life’s unstopping flow that we amuse ourselves with excuses. Yes, I speak about myself when I note the unwillingness to give up my personal bliss to submit to the ever present voice of a Savior saying, “Follow me.” We flatter ourselves that our excuses are good enough for God. But the simplest reminder is his Word. Jesus called sinners. The sold out ones didn’t make excuses, but they quit what they were doing to be sold out to the cause of the Gospel. They were sold out to the cause of the kingdom. They were sold out because there is forgiveness of sins in Christ. What is our excuse?
